01 | Introduction
ZOORY-UV234 UV absorber offers outstanding heat stability and compatibility, and is especially effective for resins processed at high temperature, such as polycarbonate, polyester, polyoxymethylene (POM), polyamide, polyphenylene sulphide (PPS), polyphenylene oxide (PPO), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and polyurethane fibres. With its low volatility, strong light absorption and good compatibility with different substrates, the product is particularly suitable for high-surface-area articles such as films and fibres. In coatings, it is recommended for automotive coatings, coil coatings and powder coatings; the performance is even better when it is used in combination with hindered amine light stabilisers (HALS). Such combinations give the coating better protection, including preventing discolouration, loss of gloss, cracking, blistering and delamination from the substrate.
02 | Recommended Dosage
0.15–0.6%. ZOORY-UV234 can be used alone or together with other additives. The exact dosage in a formulation depends on the material and the final performance requirements.
03 | Food Contact
Approved for food contact in many countries; suitable for food packaging materials.
04 | Handling and Storage
Handle as a conventional industrial chemical; no special treatment is required. Appropriate protective measures are recommended, and prolonged skin contact should be avoided. In the case of contact, flush eyes or skin thoroughly with plenty of running water. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from fire and heat sources, and away from strong oxidising and reducing agents. Unless otherwise stated, the product has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture under reasonable storage conditions.
