2-(2′-Hydroxy-3′,5′-dicumenylphenyl)benzotriazole

Product Name

2-(2′-Hydroxy-3′,5′-dicumenylphenyl)benzotriazole

Alias

2-(2-Hydroxy-3′,5′-dicumenylphenyl)benzotriazole (UV Absorber ZOORY-UV234)

Product Introduction

UV absorber ZOORY-UV234 has excellent heat stability and compatibility, and is especially effective for resins requiring high-temperature processing, such as polycarbonate, polyester, polyoxymethylene, polyamide, polyphenylene sulfide, polyphenylene oxide, thermoplastic polyurethane, and polyurethane fibers. Meanwhile, it features low volatility, strong light absorption, and good compatibility with different substrates, so it is especially suitable for high-surface-area products such as films and fibers. When used in coatings, it is recommended for automotive coatings, coil coatings, and powder coatings; combined with hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), the effect is more ideal. The combined formula provides better protection for coatings, including preventing discoloration, loss of gloss, cracking, blistering, and detachment from the substrate.

Applications

Recommended dosage: 0.15–0.6%. UV absorber ZOORY-UV234 can be used alone or in combination with other auxiliaries. The specific formula dosage should be determined according to different materials and final performance requirements.
Food contact: Approved as food-grade in many countries, suitable for food packaging materials.
Operation and storage: Operate as a conventional industrial product; no special treatment required. Appropriate protective measures are recommended; avoid long-term contact with the product; after contact, flush eyes or skin with plenty of running water. Store in a low-temperature, dry, and ventilated place; away from fire and heat sources; away from strong oxidants and strong reducing agents. Unless otherwise specified, the product is usable for 24 months from the date of manufacture under proper storage conditions.
